Individual originally charged with two counts of First Degree Murder, carrying potential life sentence. After review of mitigating evidence and successful advocacy, the case was transferred to Juvenile Court jurisdiction, significantly reducing potential penalties.

The texts led to a follow-up police interview with the accuser and triggered an extensive re-evaluation by the Cecil County State’s Attorney’s Office. The result: all seven charges dropped just months before trial. The officer, who faced devastating allegations and career-ending consequences, was vindicated by a defense-led investigation that brought hidden facts to light.
Two officers indicted for misconduct in office following a 2023 fatal crash investigation faced potential criminal penalties and loss of career. After extensive legal challenges, the judge ruled the Attorney General’s Office failed to meet its burden of proof, resulting in full dismissal of all charges. Both officers were reinstated to patrol duty with police powers restored.
Two Montgomery County firefighters, Capt. Chris Reilly and firefighter Alan Barnes, were acquitted of all charges stemming from a July incident in which water from a fire engine hose was sprayed onto the Montgomery Blair High School baseball field. Both had faced three misdemeanor counts, including malicious destruction of property and disorderly conduct, after the field was left unplayable for a scheduled game.
Following separate trials, Judge Rand Gelber found insufficient evidence of property destruction and dismissed all charges, declaring both men innocent.
