Ian Gorham
Criminal Defense Lawyer Ian Gorham practices in the State of Maryland and represents clients in all matters in Circuit and District Courts. Prior to joining Jezic and Moyse, Ian served as a prosecutor in Charles County and Prince George’s County. In that capacity, he handled hundreds of cases in both District and Circuit Court.
In Prince George’s County he was assigned to handle high-volume Narcotics cases. Of those cases, he was able to secure a guilty verdict before a Prince George’s County Jury against a Defendant who possessed approximately 25 kilograms of cocaine and methamphetamine.
Ian’s understanding of criminal cases goes deeper than trials. He regularly worked with police on investigations and assisted them in getting search and seizure warrants signed by Judges. He prepared and argued dozens of motions before Circuit Court Judges regarding the validity of traffic stops, searches of vehicles and defendants and statements to the police.
Prior to becoming a lawyer, Ian served five years in the United States Marine Corps. During that period he deployed multiple times to both Iraq and Afghanistan. After being Honorably Discharged from the Marine Corps, he used his GI Bill benefits to attend the University of Michigan and later American University’s Washington College of Law. After graduating law school, Ian had the distinct pleasure of serving as a law clerk to the Honorable David A. Boynton in the Circuit Court for Montgomery County.
