Erik Walter

Erik Walter is a personal injury attorney working in the Personal Injury Group at Jezic & Moyse. Erik has over 25 years of legal experience. Prior to working with Jezic & Moyse, for the past 10 years, Erik was a sole practitioner, running his own law office. Erik’s primary focus at his firm was representing clients who were injured due to the negligence of others. Erik also served as defense counsel for a major Maryland insurer.

Before that, Erik worked as claims counsel for a major, national insurance carrier for 10 years handling issues related to excess judgments, bad-faith litigation, insurance regulations, policy/contract issues, training and large dollar claims. As such, he has experience handling all aspects of an automobile accident claim and can bring that experience to bear in your case.

Born in Norfolk, Virginia, Erik was a Navy brat who lived on U.S. military bases in Germany and Puerto Rico, before permanently settling down in Virginia Beach, Virginia. He went to Green Run High School where he participated on the debate team. In college, Erik played soccer.

Erik won a $235,000 arbitration award for a client who suffered a broken ankle when a negligent driver failed to yield the right of way with a red light and struck his client who was making a turn with the green light. This award was significantly higher than the last offer from the insurance company. Erik has successfully tried numerous cases in District and Circuit Courts in Maryland and Superior Court in Washington, DC.

When not working, Erik roots for the Baltimore Ravens football team where he has been a season ticket holder since their inception. Erik also cheers for all University of Michigan sports teams.
