Elizabeth Kohler Maya

Prior to joining Jezic & Moyse LLC as Of Counsel, Elizabeth served as an Immigration Judge in the Baltimore Immigration Court, having been appointed by former Attorney General Merrick Garland. 

She also brings over 20 years of private immigration practice, having provided direct representation to clients as an attorney and managing partner at Bromberg, Kohler Maya & Petre PLLC (previously known as Bromberg, Kohler Maya & Maschler PLLC) and associate attorney for the Law Offices of Richard S. Bromberg.

Elizabeth served as a Judicial Law Clerk to the Honorable Glen E. Conrad of the US District Court for the Western District of Virginia. Elizabeth is a member of the Virginia State Bar and the District of Columbia Bar. She is admitted to practice in the US Supreme Court, the US Court of the Appeals for the Fourth Circuit and the US District Courts for the Eastern and Western Districts of Virginia.

Elizabeth earned a Bachelor of Arts in 1995 from the College of Mount Saint Vincent and a Juris Doctor in 2002 from the George Mason University Antonin Scalia School of Law. She is an active member of the American Immigration Lawyers Association, having served on various committees and as the Chair of the DC Chapter. Elizabeth is fluent in Spanish.
